    The SPMA board is made of hard working and creative thinking marketing and communications professionals who have a goal of connecting with other professionals from around the province. Another great season has past and we are now looking for new members to join our board for the 2018-19 term.

    If you are interested in learning more about any of these board positions please join us for a short information session.

    Available Positions Include: 

    Vice President (3 year term)
    Are you a fearless leader? The SPMA Vice president will be responsible for building relationships with a multitude of stakeholders, help lead Fuze Conference and support the rest of the hardworking board including the South Committee in Regina.

    Events Co-Chairs (1 year term)
    Are you passionate about event planning? The events team is responsible for the organization and execution of all SPMA events throughout the year September to June.

    Sponsorship Chair (1 year term)
    Are you someone who loves to network and build relationships? The sponsorship chair is responsible for securing sponsorship to help operate events including Fuze Conference.

    Communications Co-Chair (1 year term)
    Do you have a way with words? The Communications Co-chairs are responsible for the SPMA website, Fuze Communications, event invites, and social media.

    Fuze Director (1 Year term)
    Want to be part of Saskatchewan’s longest running marketing and communications focused conference? The Fuze Director will get the ball rolling and manage a committee in organizing our annual conference held each year in May.

    Regina Co-Chair (2 year term)
    Do you live in Regina and want to help host great events in your neck of the woods? The Regina Co-chair will help manage the SPMA South committee.

    The term, “influencer" has become a marketing buzzword, we’ve all heard it, but how can you benefit from it?

    We’ve invited the following local influencers to help us answer this question:

    Justin Reves and Greg Moore from The Justin and Greg Show and co-founders of Pidgeon Social

    Ashlyn George, Travel Blogger – The Lost Girls Guide to Finding the World

    Tenille Lafontaine, Mommy Blogger – Feisty Frugal Fabulous

    Here are some of the topics we’ll cover:

    - What is influencer marketing, and why it’s become what it has over the past few years
    - Types of influencer strategies – paid vs “wooing”
    - Macro vs Micro influencers – how this space has shifted and how both can succeed and fail
    - How they built their audiences, and can it be replicated
    - How have organizations/brands connected with these influencers
    - How does each influencer choose what organizations/brands they work with

    They have a content platform with the incredibly original name of “Justin and Greg”, and in spite of themselves, reached over 1,000,000 people in 2017 with dad jokes and bad haircuts. Yup, that’s a decent amount of people, until you remember that stats are always skewed and inflated to make people seem better than they are. Like this one - their content was seen in over 47 countries worldwide.   

    In the whirlwind of a past year, they’ve created content for (and we should clarify this is with and without permission) the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Las Vegas Golden Knights, LA Gear, Winners, Hillberg & Berk, Memorial Cup and more.     Before the age of 30, she visited more than 55 countries on all 7 continents and launched her own travel blog, The Lost Girl’s Guide to Finding the World. She’s built an online community with nearly 50,000 devoted social media followers and readers, and has won several awards for her work. She’s worked with brands, such as McDonald’s Canada, Swimco, The North Face, Tourism Saskatchewan, Tourism Saskatoon, Tourism Regina and Directwest, to name a few. www.thelostgirlsguide.com

She’s worked with hundreds of large brands in Canada and the United States, such as Disney Parks, McDonald's, Michelin and Costco, to name a few. Ed McNally, founder of Big Rock Brewery, once told David that his idea was the worst thing he’d ever heard of. Ed then signed off on the idea.
